Beyond the shoreline captures the dynamic interplay between land, water, and sky. Divided into two distinct yet harmonious sections, the upper half evokes the light and reflective qualities of the sky with vertical pastel strokes in whites, peaches, and greens, reminiscent of sunlight dancing on water. The lower half is grounded in earthy greens, yellows, and soft pinks, suggesting the rich textures of the shore - sand, vegetation, and tide pools. Subtle drips and transitions between the two sections mirror the ebb and flow of the shoreline, where the ocean meets the land.
I wanted to convey the emotional experience of standing at the shoreline - a place of reflection, transition, and renewal. The vertical strokes mimic the movement of wind and waves, while the earthy lower section invites viewers to feel the grounding presence of nature. Beyond the shoreline will lift a room by:
